This is why we have an array of strategies from quick relaxation techniques that take 30 seconds and also intensive full body workouts that last 30 minutes.

Our consultation involves:

  • Detailed initial assessment to understand what you’ve been through. Active listening ensures we’re equip with everything we need to be able to help you
  • Extended consultations: Up to 60 minute sessions as we know that the standard 15 – 20 minute consultations aren’t adequate for chronic conditions
  • Really understand what’s important to you and what you would like to achieve
  • Encourage you to bring family and/or friends to nominated sessions to inform and educate them on how best to help you. Research shows support networks are essential
  • A Tailored program to help you recover from your condition and move on with your life
  • Home-based program for those who have no access to a gym or have mobility restrictions
  • Psychological strategies to tackle unhelpful thoughts and emotions; mindfulness techniques
  • Flexible sessions because we understand the challenges of living with a chronic illness
  • One-one sessions with an experienced therapist
  • Ongoing contact after the program if you have any issues
  • We will work with your GP, pain specialist and other existing therapists
  • For those interested, we can incorporate Yoga into your wellbeing coaching program

Features of Our Wellness Coaching

Our coaching is designed to empower you on your journey to recovery. Effective pain treatments vary between individuals, so it is important to us that we understand your background before treatment. Often chronic pain, chronic fatigue or mental health symptoms are ongoing, so it only makes sense to design programs for the long-term.

Goal setting and enjoyable activities

We believe it is vital that your rehabilitation program is based on who you want to be, and what you want to achieve. This way we can help you become a better you. When you don’t have goals to strive for, you won’t have a clear sense of direction. Once you set your goals, we will help you to achieve them in a manageable way.

Stretch & exercise programs

We will develop your program and show you how to set the numbers yourself, so you can do them to a level you can manage. This will stop you from pushing yourself too hard and save you money in the long term as you will understand how to set up a program that works for you. We will teach you how to work smarter not harder.

Relaxation & mindfulness techniques

We will teach you different types of relaxation / mindfulness techniques so that you can use whichever works best for you when you need it. They range from short 30 second techniques to the longer 20 minute techniques. Our techniques are also versatile- they can be performed at home, at work or in the car.

Managing flare-ups & setbacks

We teach you the difference between a flare-up and setback and how best to manage them both. Understanding the difference between them will empower you with the skill to know when you need external help.

Getting a better night’s sleep

Research tell us that good sleep is very important for health and wellbeing. If you don’t sleep well, symptoms tend to be worse the next day. So, we will teach you some simple strategies to get a better night’s sleep, and why 8 hours of sleep per night is not necessary for good health.

Getting into the right mindset

If you are getting angry, frustrated, depressed and/or anxious, we will teach you a range of strategies to help. We understand that everyone is different, so we will find what works best for you.

Returning to work / activity in a helpful way

Having structure in your day and a sense of self-worth is vital in life. If you are at a working age, we will teach you the strategies to maximise your chances to succeed at work. We will also show you how to get back to enjoyable activities because for mental and physical wellbeing, it is important to have some fun!

Intimacy and how to get it back

Often a delicate topic of discussion, but an integral part of life, we will discuss what you can do to help get this back into your life. We understand that everyone is at a different stage of intimacy and we are happy to work around your needs.

Learn how to be heard by others

Most people get frustrated because they are sick of trying to make others understand their struggle. By the end your program, you will have a greater understanding and a sense of control of you condition. Importantly, you will know how best to express yourself in an assertive way. Most people find noticeable confidence after just the first few sessions.
